Being bored is NOT an option!

So, yesterday, June 1st, 2010 marked the official start of summer vacation for the petites and their family. The last day of school was Friday May 28. The Mintonye Pioneers kicked off the day with a field day full of competitive games. A fun AND work filled Memorial day weekend would follow with a late afternoon rainy, lazy Monday to end it all! And then came Tuesday!

As usual, the petites hit the ground running at the crack of dawn (or maybe 7 am). The first words out of Sophie's mouth were "Mommy, where are we going today?" I explained that it was the start of summer break and we really didn't have any place we HAD to be. YAY!! and then I remembered it was sign up day for the summer reading program at the library. After a productive morning we headed to Lafayette to sign up. It was a very special day because Sophia Caroline Royer became the proud owner of her very own library card! She was sooo proud.
